Autumn is definitely upon us, and with the autumnal weather comes the seasonal wardrobe change in makeup. These are some of my favorite makeup bits that I love using during autumn, mainly for their beautiful colors that resonate with the autumn leaves.
The Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eye Shadow Palette // Vintage Vamp : This is the epitome of autumn in an eyeshadow palette. Featuring four beautiful eye shadow shades for a step-by-step, easy application, this eyeshadow quad transforms from a day to night look with minimal effort. The prime shade is a buttery, metallic champagne pink that easily cancels any redness and veins, and brightens up the eye area. Enhance is the perfect autumn shade — a true burgundy— that brings warmth and definition to the eyes. Smoke is a slightly darker, wine color that gives more depth and dimension to the eyes. Pop is the star of the palette — a scorched golden shimmer with gold flecks, reminiscent of the autumn sun.
3CE Super Slim Pen Eyeliner // Burgundy Brown : Although autumn is a time for darker colors, the 3CE Brown Eyeliner is a demure alternative to the traditional black eyeliner, and pairs well with the burgundy undertones of the Vintage Vamp eyeshadow palette. With an easy-to-use elastic brush tip [even for beginners], this eyeliner has a slightly glossier finish, that is extremely long-lasting and completely smudge-proof, without any flakiness.
Etude House Play 101 Pencil // #40 + #42 : Etude House's Play 101 Pencils are all highly pigmented, and once set, it does not budge. With a tiny sharpener at the end of the pencil, these pencils make the perfect cat eyeliner, or can be smudged out for a smokey effect. Beautiful as another alternative to black eyeliner, #40 is a deep, mossy green with minuscule golden shimmers. #42 is a greige [ grey + beige] color, and when used to line the eyes, creates a soft, whimsical look perfect for cozy knits during this time of the year.
YSL Rouge Pur Couture the Mats // #214 Wood on Fire : The newest lip to my addition, #214 Wood on Fire is a luscious terra-cotta pink, teetering on the edge of a soft, burnt red. A matte-finish lipstick that dries comfortably on the lips, the creamy formula does not smudge and lasts all day. Autumn is a time for elegantly refined styles and this matte lipstick will definitely be one I will be reaching for often this a/w season.
YSL Baby Doll Kiss and Blush // #10 Nude Insolent : Another lip that has a matte, but slightly more satiny finish, #10 Nude Insolent is a tad browner than #214 Wood on Fire, with a velvety texture. This multi-purpose product can be used for both the lips and the cheeks — an on-the-go product that easily creates an instantly polished look.
